While scientists around the globe are debating this topic, I looked into it a little more. Arguments from each side of the debate are providing legitimate facts and reason to it. For example, some argue that the home star cannot support life, due to being extremely small and unstable. Some say the atmosphere, although unknown, cannot hold water. I think it will take time before we truly know if it contains any kind of organisms.

I do not think the planet could support life. It is only considered Earth's twin because it orbits a star at a location away to have water. It also has about the same size as Earth. I feel that size is not enough to support life. Scientists still do not know it's atmosphere or even if it has water. Also the climate is unknown. If there were more information, than maybe scientists could consider going to the planet. I agree that it will take time to see if the planet could support life.
ReplyDeleteI think that it could support life if we get lucky. It is located in the habitable zone but there are to many factors that we just don't know. I would have to disagree with Dennis though, the planet is right on the edge of it not having water but other than that I think that it will be habitable.
